Every year about this time the city of Austin, TX begins its transformation from common bustling city, to host of one of the largest music festivals in the world. During the week of March 15th, thousands of bands and hundreds of thousands of fans will come in droves to experience tastes and genres of music from all over the world. Again for it's (5th?) year, Mile Hi-Fidelity will be featuring over a dozen of Colorado's best acts, touting one of the most eclectic line-ups on the strip. The 2010 installment of MHF will be the largest yet and feature artists who have made some of the biggest impacts in their respective genres both in Colorado and beyond.
This past year has been one of the most impressive ones for bands and artists coming out of Colorado. From a successful release on Atlantic records from previously featured MHF act, Meese, to Grammy nominated The Fray and international superstars 3oh!3 teaming up with the likes of 'Lil John and Katy Perry, the Mile High City has been seeing it's fair share of the spotlight from otherwise untouchable industry cities.
On March 19th, 2010 Mile Hi-Fidelity will take over The Habana Calle 6, located at 709 E 6th St., from 12:00pm noon to 6:00pm. The daytime festival will feature two stages, one indoor and one out, to provide us with the capacity required to host a showcase of this scale. Confirmed acts include:
